Estonian drone regulations

For operating the unmanned aircraft (drone) in Estonia you need the special permit from Estonian Civil Aviation Administration in some areas. A state fee (32€) must be paid for the review of an application for a special permit.

You need the permit if you operate drone:

  1. in uncontrolled airspace (flight information zone of an aerodrome excluded) at the altitude higher than 500 ft (150m) from the ground or
  2. in the controlled airspace, flight information zone of an aerodrome and in the prohibited areas, restricted areas, temporary segregated areas, temporary reserved areas, parachute descent areas, powered paraglider areas and areas with sensitive fauna published in the part ENR 5 and the supplements of the Aeronautical Information Publication (AIP) or established by NOTAM
